Katherine T. Crumbacher

	Katherine T. Crumbacher, 63, of Alton, died peacefully Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 10:45 a.m. at her residence, with loved ones at her side, while under the loving care of the St. Anthony's Hospice Program.
	She was born March 14, 1940 in Charleston, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Purdy) Tryban.  She married Charles Edward 'Charlie' Crumbacher Sr. on September 20, 1960 in Du Quoin.
	She was employed as a Teachers' Assistant in South Roxana School District.
	She was a long-time member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton, enjoyed music and playing the piano.  She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoying her children's school years, attending sporting events and recitals.
	In addition, to her beloved husband of 42 years, she is survived and will be greatly missed by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Edward 'Chuck' Crumbacher Jr. and wife Beth of Godfrey and James L. Crumbacher of San Francisco, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia L. and Mike Hadank of Alton; five grandchildren, Benjamin Crumbacher, Sam Crumbacher, Adam Hadank, Madeline Hadank and Morgan Hadank; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and John Rayburn of Tennessee and other extended family and many friends.
	Visitation was Sunday, April 13 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Staten-Fine Funeral Home, 220 Court Street in Alton.
	Services honoring her life were Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Roger Schoenhofen, O.M.I. officiating.  Burial followed in St. Patrick Cemetery in Godfrey.
	For those desiring, memorials may be made to the St. Anthony's Hospice Program or to St. Anthony's Health Center, both in Alton.
